Living a Blessed Life (Replica of Eden)
You are welcome into God’s presence in Jesus’ name! We are still continuing with the series- Uncommon Blessings. This week, I want to share with you “Living the Blessed Life“.
Anchor Scripture: Revelations 21: 1-6
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me,[b] “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”6 And He said to me, “It is done![c] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things,[d] and I will be his God and he shall be My son
What does it mean to live a blessed life?
Living a blessed life is living heaven on earth. Heavenly living is living a life that is sorrow-free, calamity-free, and poverty-free and a life exempted from all evil occurrences. Revelations 21: 1-6 gives us a glimpse of heaven.
Living a blessed life means living the Word of God, the Word of truth. 1 Peter 2:9-10 “9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; 10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
Living a blessed life means living in the fulfillment of the promises of God and totally depending on God’s plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 states “11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. It also means to live on Kingdom’s principles. It means to move from Egypt to the Canaan, the land that flows with milk and honey.
Living a blessed life can also mean to move from the terrestrial to the celestial. It also means to live in abundance, to live as the sons and daughters of the Blessed God, the Maker of heaven and earth and Controller of the universe. Romans 8:14-17 states “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together”.
What are the keys to living a blessed life?
- Living a blessed life requires a lifestyle of Faith. Galatians 3:8-11
Faith brings you into the blessing, you will also need the same faith to sustain and maintain the blessing. A lifestyle of faith will wade the devil off your blessing. The lifestyle of faith requires you to constantly speak the blessings in-spite of oppositions. You declare what you believe by faith. 2 Corinthians 4:13 “13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;”
- Living a blessed life requires knowledge. 2 Peter 1:2-3
The place of knowledge in living a blessed life is very important. You cannot have the blessing of God without the knowledge of God. To maintain the blessings of God, you will also the apply knowledge. 2nd Peter 1:2-3.” 2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” You and I have been called to be a partaker of His blessings, not into a life of curses, We are born-again into the house of glory and beauty.
- Living a blessed life requires that we continually seek the Lord of the Blessings.
2nd Chronicles 15: 1-2, 12-15
In 2nd Chronicles 15: 1-15, the children of Israel entered into a covenant to seek the Lord with all their heart and when they did, it is recorded that God gave them rest round about them. The more you seek the Lord, the more you continue to prosper and to live a blessed life. Therefore, wisdom demands that for you to live the blessed life and maintain the blessing; you must always attach to the source of the blessing. Once you have been blessed, you cannot guarantee continuous blessing unless the power to it is in the place. Like Abraham, your love for God must be unquestionable; your motive for seeking Him must purely be based on love, not merely a means of getting your breakthrough.
- Living a blessed life requires a lifestyle of thanksgiving Psalms 50: 10-15
If you desire to live the blessed life, the lifestyle of thanksgiving is not optional. In Luke 17:11-19, ten lepers were healed. Only one was made whole; the one who came back to give thanks. For all God has done and continues to do, give Him quality thanks. Thank Him for your healing, for all the things that are working right in your life, for the gift of life, for breath – for only the living can praise the Lord. The more you do that, the more God blesses you. Always remember to offer thanks unto Him.
In conclusion Hebrews 6:10-18 reassures you that God will not forget His promises unto you. Having done your part, you will reap the rewards of your obedience – his blessings and promises to His very own. If you would like to live a blessed life, you need to first submit your life to the giver of life and the source of all blessings by saying this simple prayer “Father Lord, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with the blood of your Son Jesus Christ. Deliver me from sin and satan, so that I may serve You, my maker and living God. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Make me your child and a joint heir with your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for accepting me into your kingdom in Jesus name, Amen”
If you have said this prayer, then you have made the single most important decision of your lifetime and your life will not remain the same.
“May God bless you until I come your way again!”
